Art and other Unemployable Activities
Department of Art and Other Unemployable Activities
Tidemarsh University – School of Self-Expression and Budget Cuts
The Department of Art and Other Unemployable Activities offers a bold, impractical curriculum for students committed to creative excellence, personal discovery, and lifelong financial instability. Whether you're finger-painting your inner truth, welding existential dread into public sculpture, or majoring in "Experimental Sound Collage (with Emphasis in Whalesong)," this is the place for you.
Our faculty includes award-losing painters, part-time performance artists, and at least one interpretive dancer who communicates solely through mime. Students are encouraged to pursue cross-disciplinary work with equally distressed departments such as Philosophy, Creative Writing, and Advanced Wandering.
Capstone projects are judged on originality, emotional depth, and how confidently students can explain their meaning without making eye contact.
Graduates go on to inspiring careers in barista theory, freelance existentialism, and accidentally starting cults. Scholarships are available, but mostly in the form of good vibes and deeply affirming nods.
